2023-2024 School Year Questionnaire
Please fill out the below form, as we are gathering information from all returning Suzuki families for the next school year.
This will help us prepare a schedule that will ensure safety procedures can be maintained.

Online Lessons
Our online lessons for our next school year will remain on Zoom.
Parents of children in Suzuki book one or age 14 or under, will be required to attend the weekly lessons and take notes to help with the week’s practice sessions. Your notes are the checklist of items your child will focus on from week to week.
Marco Polo videos will be provided for those that are online to help with practice assignments.
Please login to your Zoom lesson 5 minutes prior to your start time. This enables us to begin lessons on time.
Once you enter the Zoom meeting, please check that your original sound (a setting feature in Zoom) is turned on. This will enable the teacher to properly hear your child’s playing sound.

In-Person Lessons
Our in-person lessons will take place at our studio address in Thornhill.
If you or anyone in your home is feeling sick, please stay home and request an online lesson. Please provide at least 5 hours notice (via text message) of a need to switch to online lessons due to illness.
You will receive a screening tool to use prior to your in-person lesson.
Anyone who attends in-person lessons while exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms will be sent home and the lesson forfeited.
Prior to the start of your lesson, please stay in your car until you receive a text message from your teacher that it is safe to enter the studio.
Upon entering the studio, please sanitize your hands with either soap and water in our bathroom or provided hand sanitizer.
Masks are mandatory for ALL who enter the studio and must be worn for the ENTIRE lesson time.
Wear your mask so it comes all the way up, close to the bridge of your nose, and all the way down under your chin. Do your best to tighten the loops or ties so it’s snug around your face, without gaps.
Vaccines are not mandatory but are suggested as per Public Health Ontario.
Parents are required to be present for all in-person lessons.
We ask to limit the lesson space to only one parent and the child or children that are there for a lesson. This will help keep social distancing.
Parents will be required to take notes during our in-person lessons. Short Marco Polo videos can also be taken by the parent during our lesson time to help with understanding the practice assignment.
The lesson room is equipped with a high-power HEPA filter which will be running throughout every lesson.
High touch surfaces will be sanitized between different Suzuki family lessons. Clean hand towels in the washroom will be changed for each family that enters the studio. The HEPA filter will also be turned on high in between lessons to help clean the air.
Students who are in book two are required to bring their own reading materials (Suzuki book & reading book) and writing tools (pencil) to each lesson. Materials will not be shared to limit the spread of viruses.
Hand sanitizer will be available to use when you exit the studio.
